IntelligentTransit Powered by TDG Transportation

Intelligent Transit delivers the future today, and costs far less than and recently proposed referendum plan. Incorporating municipal, state and federal governments with private equity funding into modern public-private partnerships, Intelligent Transit creates a fluid regional transportation system focused on true transit equality and independence. With door-to-door transit options at your fingertips, the ability to change entire routes with a keystroke, Intelligent Transit is Nashville's, and the world’s future.

Unveiled on April 10th by Nashville Metro Councilman Robert Swope and dubbed "Intelligent Transit for the It City Nashville,” the plan is centered around a fleet of autonomous vehicles (AV) operating along major freeway corridors connecting 10 Middle Tennessee counties, moving Music City Central terminal, and the construction of double-decker highways, within the next five years.

Intelligent Transit is predicated upon these guiding principles:

Mass and personal transit should be complementary elements rather than separate transportation options

Any transportation plan must be based on regional needs rather than the needs of a single municipality

We must create equitable and independent mobility for all by combining existing mass transit options with emerging technologies, all within a cost efficient, environmentally friendly framework

THE NASHVILLE PILOT PROPOSAL

This proposed Pilot Program is meant to convey a scope of work pertaining to the implementation of the ideas, concepts and technologies proposed in the white paper entitled Intelligent Transit: The Model of a Conscious City.  It suggests several areas of pilot exploration into new paradigms of energy creation and distribution, mass and personal transit opportunities, and the control systems that will ultimately be the backbone for the aforementioned concerns, as well as urban planning, affordable housing, workforce education, and the regional interconnectivity that needs to exist to make these things possible.

Understanding that the acceptance and promulgation of Electric Vehicles in the future is a stated goal of countless cities, states and countries globally, it is our remit that this will not occur on a personal ownership basis, but rather, as a fleet service / car sharing activity based in and around the OEM manufacturers currently exploring this exact model. By welcoming creatively construed Public-Private Partnerships between private corporations, city and regional operated mass transit organizations, and state regulatory agencies, these shared fleet operations will, for the first time in human history, connect public and personal transportation in ways never witnessed before.

In the creation of these future P3’s, one must also consider the energy creation and distribution methods to sustain such a robust transit environment. To that end, we are suggesting an operational model of 100% environmentally clean energy creation on a micro-grid level. Utilizing gasification technologies, originally developed over 100 years ago, combined with modern implementation strategies, we are able to create energy from consumer’s own municipal solid waste, on a far greater efficiency rate than previously known. Further, through the implementation of wireless electrical conveyance, the entire transit, and ultimately consumer grids are clean, environmentally friendly, and more importantly, far more efficient than we currently experience.

Simply stated, we see energy and transit being inextricably linked in the future. Knowing full well we are suggesting a massive shift within a number of existing industries, we firmly hold the belief that with proper planning, modern technologies controlling these functions, and well thought implementation protocols, Tennessee can, and should be, the leader in creating the global future we all know is coming.

We propose several key pilot opportunities in which private, local, state and federal involvement will be necessary to ensure every stakeholder shares in future development, both urban and rural.

The Intelligent Transit Nashville Pilot proposal consists of eight focused elements

that will prove the functionality of our overall Conscious City goals.
